ye roz o shab ki betaabi
ye roz o shab ki betaabi ye lutf e jaavidaan kya hai
bajuz ishq e nabi meri in ankhon se rawan kya hai
simat jaate nahi kyun faasle shehr e muhammad ke
main aksar sochta rehta hoon aakhir darmiyan kya hai
salaamat hai abhi tak aashiyan toh hai karam unka
main toh nadaan tha danista bhi kya kya na kiya
laaj rakh li mere lajpal ne ruswa na kiya
dar e huzur kisi benawa se band nahi
khula hi rehta hai baab e karam ata ke liye
salaamat hai abhi tak aashiyan toh hai karam unka
wagar na meri himmat ka meri taab o tawa kya hai
muyassar ho jise apne nabi ke naam ki rimjhim
phir uske waaste kali ghata ka saayban kya hai
khule hain unki azmat ke 'Alam' sidra se bhi aage
zameen o aasman kya hai makaan o lamaakan kya hai
bajuz ishq e nabi meri in ankhon se rawan kya hai
simat jaate nahi kyun faasle shehr e muhammad ke
main aksar sochta rehta hoon aakhir darmiyan kya hai
salaamat hai abhi tak aashiyan toh hai karam unka

Subhaan Allah

Some of them celebrated their favorites according to religion with their language and chanting method. People of some time and past started pleasing their Ishta through devotional music. A separate line of Sufi music also emerged in all but the Bengali country and some other Islamic countries. As time passed, people became interested in devotional music.
