tum agar yun hi nazrein
tum agar yun hi nazrein milate rahe
maikashi mere ghar se kahan jayegi
aur ye silsila mustaqil ho toh phir
bekhudi mere ghar se kahan jayegi
ik zamane ke baad aayi hai shaam e gham
shaam e gham mere ghar se kahan jayegi
meri kismat mein hai jo tumhari kami
wo kami mere ghar se kahan jayegi
shama ki ab mujhe kuch zaroorat nahi
naam ko bhi shab e gham mein zulmat nahi
mere har daag e dil kam nahi chand se
chandni mere ghar se kahan jayegi
tune jo gham diye wo khushi se liye
tujhko dekha nahi phir bhi sajde kiye
itna mazbot hai jab aqeeda mera
bandagi mere ghar se kahan jayegi
zarf wala koi saamne aaye toh
main bhi dekhun zara iss ko apnaye jo
meri hamraaz ye iska hamraaz main
bekasi mere ghar se kahaan jayegi
jo koi bhi teri raah mein marr gaya
apni hasti ko wo javedan kar gaya
main shaheed e wafa ho gaya hoon to kya
zindagi mere ghar se kahan jayegi
maikashi mere ghar se kahan jayegi
aur ye silsila mustaqil ho toh phir
bekhudi mere ghar se kahan jayegi
ik zamane ke baad aayi hai shaam e gham
shaam e gham mere ghar se kahan jayegi
meri kismat mein hai jo tumhari kami

ReplyDeleteDon't ever ask to translate into English. The song will retain no originality. Some things are only spoken in one language.Anyways, many words have no exact translation. These are time-less Ghazals.
ReplyDeleteits a superlative masterpiece of Nusrat Ji, each words has very deep meaning
ReplyDeletei wud like to translate a stanza
ReplyDeleteshama ki ab mujhe kuch zaroorat nahi

In this poet says that he is not requied of any candle or we can say light ,it can b light of awareness or practical form of light
because the nights spend in worries of beloved are not less than any light itself
Those nights are dark ,along with that they are precious too .
and then poet resembles again darkness of his heart (mera hr daag e dil chand ...)with light of moon . Because moon inspite of having stains in it is symbol of prosperity and happiness
and at last poet considers chandni as his beloved and mentioned that ,maybe chandni(beloved)would have been thinking of going apart but would not b able to get aparat
chandni the beloved also loved the beautifulness of imperfections in his lover
Nice!
DeleteI Think Its Whole Different Mean.... Its All About ALLAH And Muhhamad (P.B.U.H)... It Make Sense... Feel It... !!
Delete@Aqib, we can interpret it anyway. And both are beautiful.
DeleteThank you
